MISSION 18-hr and MISSION Lite 4-hr race results have been posted at www.DINOseries.com - photos coming soon.

Congratulations to Alpine Shop who won Saturday’s 2008 MISSION Adventure Race after trailing nearly all day by 30 minutes to Citgo / Gray Goat. A strategic skipping of two checkpoints boosted Alpine Shop into the lead at about sunset. They continued racing hard until just a short time before the midnight finish cutoff. Their score was 37 points, Citgo / Gray Goat scored 34. Third overall went to DART, and fourth overall to a 2-female team All-Terrain Females. Darryl McCauley topped the solo field with 28 points.

MISSION Lite introduced nearly 100 first-timers to adventure racing. Leading that race were Running on MT with 12 points, followed by Greg and Two Old Men just minutes ahead of Three Cam Unit, each scoring 10 points.

Mission 2008 was excellent .Due to the high water level in the creek, the paddling section was all paddling instead of mostly wading. The solo male race for 3-6 position was close all day long. I think this made the event alot more fun and pushed us all pretty hard. The target shooting was a fun surprise and despite not training for it at all, was my best event! I just wish DINO had more than one of these each year.
