About the race
The 3-4 hour Tadpole is designed with the beginner racer in mind. The race will be balanced between all three disciplines for the full race experience. The technical level of this race is aimed at those who are new to adventure racing and new to navigation. Be aware…we will challenge you and you will have fun!
The 6-8 hour Toad is designed with the experienced racer in mind. The race will contain all three disciplines with an emphasis on paddling and orienteering. The technical level of this race is aimed at those who have experience in adventure racing and navigation.
Location
East Fork State Park — One of Ohio’s largest state parks, East Fork has over 2100 acres of water and 85 miles of trails. We are very excited about the choices East Fork gives us for the layout of these races.
The start location within the park will be announced at a later date once the course is finalized. There will be one centralized start/finish/transition area that will accommodate both races.
Boats
Each team is required to supply all their own gear including boats. We are working with a livery to get racers a discount rental of canoe/kayak, pfds, and paddles. If you need a boat contact Topo Adventure Sports and we’ll find you one.
Fees
The following entry fees are for entries postmarked by October 1st. Entry fees increase by $10/person after October 1st. Deadline for entry: Monday, October 15, 2007.Tadpole (3-4 hour adventure race)

Toad (6-8 hour adventure race)
Solo - $55
2-person - $100
3-person - $135
4-person - $180
We will be providing a post race meal.
